Living Cardboard Projects
Katie Gartlan-Close and Carmine Santavenere joined forces in early 2016 to create ‘Living
Cardboard Projects’ (LCP). LCP is interested in connection, cardboard, and expanding what we think of as theatre. Both Katie and Carmine work as interdisciplinary collaborative artists. The company began as a series of public performances, which took place throughout Downtown Vancouver the summer of 2016, and featured large-scale cardboard creations. They both believe that there is a need for art in the city, and that it should be accessible to everyone. By bringing these performances into public spaces, they hope to enliven some people’s daily routines. The company is on a brief hiatus, while members are away learning new skills.
